The Grêmio USA

Gremio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense is a professional Brazilian soccer club based in Porto Alegre, RS, Brazil, and has millions of fans in Brazil and worldwide. We are glad to inform you that Gremio FBPA Youth Soccer School has come to USA, and it is the first youth soccer school in Massachusetts that belongs to a 1st. Division Brazilian Soccer Club.

About us

We are very excited about the opportunity to bring Gremio FBPA Youth Soccer School to the US, and give boys and girls access to an outstanding learning soccer experience. We started in Massachusetts, and will expand to many states, within six months. In the near future, we will be represented in every single state in the US. In order to assure Gremio FBPA's high standards of soccer instruction, we count on a team of highly qualified coaches who hold Soccer Coach Certifications, and College BS and/or Master's Degrees in Physical Education, Health & Fitness, and Exercise Science.

  • Alexandre Saleh de Barros

    President and coach

    With more than 30 years of football experience, Alex has been at the helm of Grêmio USA since 2015 when he created the first unit in Massachusetts. He trained several women's, youth and children's teams throughout his career. To know more about his work click here.

  • Robson Nascimento

    Vice President and coach

    Handles the administrative part with good managements skills, helping Gremio with the partners relationship and stakeholders. Also, leads events and matches with others local teams, contributing to organize the matches agenda.

  • André Farias

    Coach Director

    Andre has been a teacher at Grêmio USA since 2015 and has led the teams in several matches. With good experience and skills with young players, he is responsible for teaching classes and various activities with the kids.
